The goal was a workspace that could move easily between focused office work, study, and video meetings. The existing desk had enough equipment, but changing cables and inconsistent connections made the setup harder to use than it needed to be.

The requirements

The laptop needed two external displays, wired networking, charging, a webcam, and a full-size keyboard and mouse. The desk also had to remain easy to disconnect when the laptop was needed away from home.

The solution

A compatible docking arrangement brought the displays, network, USB accessories, and charging together through one laptop connection. Monitor positions were adjusted for a comfortable viewing height, and power and signal cables were routed separately to keep the work area clear.

Ready for the day

The finished workspace is quick to connect, easier to keep organised, and consistent across work and study sessions. Each component has a clear purpose, with room to change the laptop later without rebuilding the entire desk.
